In this web page, I am narrating an indelible anecdote of mine in Bengaluru—which ignited in me an unstoppable urge to invent the most amazing UCTR. Please read on... it's both very exciting and very interesting.
It was around 8 AM, someday back in 1968. I was 22, walking down the lane beside the Ram Mandir Auditorium in NR Colony, South Bengaluru. I was still recovering from a brutal common cold attack. The thin mucus phase had subsided, but the thick mucus phase still haunted me—like evil spirits in horror movies refusing to go away.
Suddenly, an autorickshaw zoomed past me, kicking up clouds of dust and belching black smoke. My nose reacted instantly. Sticky mucus clogged my nasal passages. Mucus secretions dripped into my throat, triggering wild, uncontrollable coughing. I almost lost my balance and felt flashes of darkness around me.
I somehow staggered to the roadside drainage—blowing my nose hard and spitting out mucus—only to be ambushed again by fresh arrivals of mucus lumps—completely choking my throat. I spat again and again and again...
The vicious cycle lasted over 30 minutes. I stood there dazed, completely defeated, devastated, and demoralized and exhausted. In that moment of utter frustration, I made a wish: “Let someone be given a Nobel Prize for solving this thick mucus trauma.”
Yet, deep inside me, a spark was lit. What if I found the solution on my own?
